Responsabilități
We are recruiting a Procurement Manager for one of our clients, Important Corporation, manufacturer of power tools with factories all over the world.
Reporting level: Reports to Procurement Director
- Market searching mainly in Middle & Eastern Europe for identification of potential suppliers for components/ parts used in production processes
- Initiate and negotiate contracts with domestic and foreign vendors;
- Determine each supplier’s capability to produce new components on time and within the company’s established cost, quality and delivery targets;
- Responsibility over cost management – cost optimization, quotation analysis based on break-down approach;
- Manage and plan activities related to contract review, negotiation of cost reduction/ contract terms and conditions/ agreements, based on purchasing strategy;
- Create and preserve an environment and relationship with suppliers that enables the highest level of commitment to quality, cost, delivery;
- Monitor market trends and identify best practices in the field;
- Identification of improvement opportunities for purchase and related cross-functional processes;
- Coordination of the activities of direct reports so that maximum, measurable results are achieved;
- Managing and ensuring compliant procurement policies and procedures;
- Availability to travel: approx. 60% of time
Cerințe
- University Degree – Graduate or Bachelor preferably in Engineering or Economic Areas ; Postgraduate degree is a plus;
- 8-10 years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing, preferably in Automobile industry;
- 4-5 years of managerial experience preferred;
- Contract and cost negotiation experience are mandatory; experience with market research;
- Background in Engineering (knowledge about injection, die casting) preferred;
- Exposure to different cultural environments, domestic and foreign vendors;
- Exposure to quality and continuous improvement work environments;
- Advanced English is mandatory;
- Any additional foreign language would be considered a plus.
